Welcome to Sage Creek Music!
Welcome to the home of Sage Creek High School Music Department. Our program is a vibrant and inclusive community where young musicians of every level of musical experience are empowered to create and grow through the making of music.
We pride ourselves not only in the outstanding music we create together, but also in the closeness of our musical family and the leadership within. Sage Creek offers a variety of music classes, clubs, student leadership, and other performance opportunities, which spotlight the successes of our talented students. Ms. Juliana Quiñones (she/her/hers) has served as the Director of the Sage Creek Music Program since Fall 2016. Under her leadership, the program has expanded significantly, with the addition of two new courses – Chamber Orchestra and Instrumental Music – and four thriving music clubs, including Jazz Club, Young Leaders in Music Education, Junior Joy Givers, and (most recently,) a chapter of the nationally recognized, Tri-M Music Honor Society. Ms. Quiñones has also fostered a strong sense of student ownership and pride through the "Music Leadership Guild," a student leadership organization.
Prior to joining Sage Creek, Ms. Quiñones gained valuable teaching experience in the Saddleback Unified School District and through private instruction in Riverside and Orange Counties. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and a California Teaching Credential from California State University, Fullerton, where her studies were guided by esteemed faculty including Paul Klintworth, Todd Miller, and Dr. Mitchell Fennell. Ms. Quiñones previously earned an Associate of Arts in Fine Arts from Riverside City College, where she studied under Kevin Mayse, Charles Richard, Paul Klintworth, and Martin Rhees. Later, she went on to earn her B.A. in Music Education and California Teaching Credential at California State University, Fullerton, where she studied under Paul Klintworth, Todd Miller, and Dr. Mitchell Fennell.
