Roles & Eligibility

Co-Presidents (2 students per each performing ensemble):
  • MUST BE ENROLLED ALL 3 TRIMESTERS
  • Must work well with elected co-president.
  • Must be highly committed to the success of the program and its students
  • Must attend & assist in the planning of leadership meetings.
  • Relay Information about upcoming events & opportunities.
  • Oversees all other leadership roles & duties
  • Mentors & Trains other leaders
  • Collaborates with leadership from other ensembles when necessary.
Secretary (1 student / performing ensemble):
  • Coordinates & Schedules Leadership Meetings
  • Sends out Meeting Reminders
  • Maintains Leadership Google Classroom
  • Records/Documents Meeting Notes
  • Updates whiteboard calendar (in classroom)
Historian (1 student / performing ensemble):
  • Documents (via video & pictures) SCHS Music Life & Events and relays them to Ms. Q & the Community Liaisons.
  • Point Person on the Awards Banquet Slideshow(s)
  • Student Liaison to Yearbook & The Sage Publication
Treasurer (1 student / performing ensemble):
  • Works with Ms. Q to understand music budget and advocate for student opportunities
  • Seeks out and investigates lucrative and creative fundraising opportunities
  • Completes necessary ASB paperwork for fundraisers
  • Works with parent volunteers to help coordinate fundraisers
  • Works with Historians & Community Liaisons to promote fundraisers and events
Librarians (2 students / performing ensemble):
  • Will be trained on the copy machines to properly scale and copy music.
  • Hole punch and distribute music to class.
  • File music and scores when they are done being used.  
  • Maintain and add to Music Library Database.
  • Will act as a T.A. in the absence of a T.A.
  • Some lunchtime and before/after-school duty required
Community Liaisons (2 students / performing ensemble):
  • Weekly (appropriate & positive)  posts to Insta, Facebook, & Twitter
  • Work with Historians & Treasurers to promote upcoming events and fundraisers.
