String Orchestra is our inclusive ensemble welcoming all skill levels, from beginners to experienced players. This relaxed setting allows students to explore orchestral repertoire while building confidence and camaraderie.
We perform at various school and community events throughout the year, including the annual Winter, Spring, and Pops Concerts. Leading up to these larger concerts, we may have some after-school rehearsals to prepare for combined performances with other ensembles.
Recent highlights for this ensemble include two second annual concert events during the 25-26 school year: the Carlsbad Unified String Collective with Carlsbad High School Orchestras and corresponding concert, "Marigolds and Moonlight" in October, and the upcoming "Collage Concert," a student-led and organized chamber music showcase that will be on April 16th.
Private lessons are highly recommended to enhance individual progress and are available from qualified instructors.
