Orchestra

String Orchestra is our open orchestra group, which does not require an audition, and contains violins, violas, celli, and basses.  Students in this class range from very experienced to novice players.  Some of our more advanced players may be preparing to audition for Chamber Orchestra or may not be able to commit to a 3-trimester schedule yet.  

This ensemble plays at at least four concerts throughout the year, and various other performance opportunities, including festivals or theme park performances..  For our Winter Concert (in December) and our Pops Concert (in June) String Orchestra combines with our Wind Ensemble and Chamber Orchestra to form a full Symphony Orchestra.  Some after school rehearsals are required.

Private lessons are highly beneficial to individuals in this ensemble and are encouraged.
